After extensive testing with a real team:

Monday.com is our current choice. The visual interface clicked with everyone, and the automations save hours per week. Not the cheapest, but worth it for us.

Asana is the best for teams that need serious workflow management. Tasks, subtasks, dependencies - it handles complexity well.

ClickUp has the most features by far. Almost too many. Great for power users who want everything customizable.

Notion is what I use for personal projects and documentation. Not technically a PM tool, but many teams make it work.

Trello is perfect for small teams who just need simple boards without complexity.
